Payment Assistance

We understand there may be times when you have a hard time paying your Minnesota Power bill. We offer a variety of payment arrangements (including budget billing) and information about other assistance programs that may be available to you. Assistance programs vary by county. Minnesota Power also offers the Customer Affordability of Residential Electricity (CARE) program for qualified customers. Read more about the CARE program here.

Minnesota Power’s parent company, ALLETE, has entered an agreement to be acquired by a partnership led by Canada Pension Plan Investment Board and Global Infrastructure Partners and start the process to become a private company.
