Businesses

Minnesota Power believes in helping our customers have sustained success over the long-term. We recently sought and received approval from the Minnesota Public Utilities Commission to offer a new, aggressive five-year electric demand incentive for new and current customers expanding by 250 kW of demand or greater.

Whether your business would be an office, a factory, or a warehouse, the choices you make personally and company-wide can save energy, reduce costs, increase productivity and benefit the environment. We are committed to assisting you in finding the technologies and programs that are the best fit for helping you achieve your energy conservation goals and save money over the long-term. The decision to invest in energy efficiency goes beyond energy savings and into such areas as innovation, productivity, health of employees, and an ongoing impact on the environment.

Minnesota Power is proud to have met the State of Minnesota’s renewable energy goal of 25% a decade early. Approximately 30% current energy supply already comes from renewable sources like wind and solar. However, with our expertise and products, we are ready to help your business meet your sustainability goals – all the way up to supplying 100% of your energy from renewable sources.

Minnesota Power supports our region’s natural resource based economy and is proud to advocate for responsible new and current customers.

Communities

Every year, Minnesota Power provides over $75,000 in core funding for local economic development organizations focused on business retention and attraction.

Minnesota Power is proud to partner with communities located in our service territory to help them achieve Shovel Ready certification through the Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development.

From workforce to broadband, there are many needs in our region. Minnesota Power has been proud to support our communities in helping fund a number of important, research-based studies over the years to move our regional economy forward.

Contact Arik Forsman for more information on community-based economic development grants and how Minnesota Power is able to partner with our communities for eligible projects.
