| Economics of Energy and the Environment Camp
2008 Dates Coming Soon
This four-day economics and the environment decision-making workshop at the University of Minnesota Duluth includes classroom instruction and site visits. Curriculum materials include the widely acclaimed Seas, Trees and Economies, and Economics and the Environment.
There is no fee to attend. Participants receive curriculum materials, lunches and refreshments. Dorm accommodations and travel stipends of $75 are available to the first 15 to register who live more than 35 miles from University of Minnesota–Duluth (UMD). Enrollment is limited to 20.
Students care about environmental issues. This curriculum builds on their interest, helping students understand the connections between economics, the environment, and real-world issues. You will see these connections first hand, as you follow up classroom sessions with site visits. This year there will be a focus on energy and site visits may include a hydroelectric facility, a taconite mine, and a paper plant.

The workshop is led by UMD's Professor Curt Anderson, who developed this
groundbreaking curriculum.
