Minnesota Power operates 11 hydroelectricity stations and 16 reservoirs, including the state's largest, on the St. Louis River at Thomson, with a total capacity of 115 megawatts.
Not only does this mean less fossil fuel must be burned but also creates and preserves countless opportunities for enjoying our region's natural beauty waterfront living, boating, fishing, camping, cross-country skiing, environmental education and more.
