Mini Split Ductless ASHP

$500 Rebate*
on Mini Split Ductless Air Source Heat Pump (ASHP) System
for Homes That Do Not Have Ducts

January 1–December 31, 2010

How to get your $500 rebate on a qualifying mini split ductless ASHP installation:

  • Purchase and have installed by a program trained contractor a qualifying system (SEER 16—measure of cooling efficiency and HSPF 9—measure of heating efficiency).
  • Electricity must be a primary heating source in your new or existing home. This includes the heat pump with electric baseboard/radiant heating, slab heating, or electric boiler as the backup system.
  • You must be a retail customer of a participating utility.
  • The system must be installed by a program trained contractor. He or she will work with you to ensure your system meets the rebate requirements and supports your existing ductless heating distribution system. The contractor will submit the required paperwork for the rebate.
  • Please allow 8-10 weeks for receipt of rebate check.
  • The rebate is available for qualifying installations through December 31, 2010.

* Minnesota Power and participating municipal utilities, by providing this rebate, do not warrant the equipment or the work of the contractor and are not responsible for any personal injury or damage caused by the equipment. The sponsoring utilities reserve the right to withdraw the offer without notice. Rebate is subject to contractor meeting performance standards.
