Harvest Gold Crabapple has an upright, wide
columnar crown. Flowers are white and fruit is a very attractive clear
yellow color. Foliage is a very attractive dark green. The 3/8 - 1/2"
fruits are very persistent. They maintain a clear yellow color well
into late November or early December in most years before they start
to brown.
Requirements and Culture:
Information provided for the species applies. Requires full sun, tolerant to a fairly wide range of soil conditions. Prune to remove suckers and watersprouts. Prune as young trees to develop good branch structure.
Limitations: Good resistance to cedar-apple rust, fireblight and mildew. Tolerant of scab.
