Minnesota Power and participating utilities are offering rebates on qualifying ducted and ductless air source heat pumps in new and existing homes. ASHPs can be integrated into existing furnace set-ups that have ductwork present or can be installed regardless of the presence of ducts.
Rebate amounts vary depending on your heating fuel and type of system installed. To qualify, the unit must be installed by a program participating contractor and meet energy efficiency standards. Click here to find out more about these rebates.
The program participating contractor will work with you to design a system that meets these rebate requirements and supports the distribution system (ductwork or ductless) requirements of your home.
Choosing a Contractor
It’s important to choose an experienced contractor who is trained and certified to install the specific product you have in mind. Ask for references to ensure the quality of the contractor’s work and make sure they meet the requirements to participate in Minnesota Power's heat pump rebate program.
